South Texas is famous for wild country and wild animals. The Peeler Ranch is in its sixth generation of Peelers and boasts 25,000 acres of unique habitat and ranching history.
The ranch has over 14 miles of seasonal and flowing creeks and over 100 ponds or stock-tanks. Native game animals include bobwhite and blue quail, mourning dove, white-tail deer, Rio Grande turkey, javelinas, wild hogs, coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, ducks, bass and even alligators.
The rolling hills and vegetation allow for exceptional bobwhite quail and mourning dove wing-shooting yet still produces giant free-ranging whitetail bucks and an abundance of wild hogs.
Peelers have been born and buried on the ranch. For over 100 years, they have worked and still work with the land, with cattle and with wildlife.
