Inscribed on a rain-water cistern at the lodge is the date 1876.  The heavy rocking chairs on the front porch and wide-wood chairs by the outdoor fire-pit act as magnets for guests.  Guests can also sit, visit, relax and soak in South Texas while comforted by the cushioned chairs and sofas beside the den’s fireplace that once burned mesquite fires used for cooking table fare for the tough vaqueros/cowboys of bygone generations.  The lodge sets a memorable South Texas stage for your trip to Macho Creek Lodge.

Guest lodging consists of the main lodge and two casitas/bunk houses.  Having eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a dining room, living room, pool table room, and large front porch, the lodge is very comfortable.  The facilities are kept extremely clean.

In addition to the guest accommodations, the lodge has a kitchen, food service area, crew room, two crew cabins, game-cleaning area with a walk-in cooler, skeet/clays range, work shop/barn and owner’s house.
